The One Country Group You Should Have in Your Music Library

Oh look, it’s me again.

I can’t believe it’s been a week already since I posted my first proper blog. I promised I wouldn’t ever post about that subject every again, and I won’t. Ever.

This week I thought I’d give you a little run down on why a certain country music group should be in every single playlist you own…

Little Big Town, in my opinion, the country ABBA, have been on the country music scene since 1998, (yes, nearly 20 years!) and somehow none of them look a day over 30. They’re absolutely faultless in terms of vocals, and the songs they sing are so diverse, there is bound to be a song for every mood you’re in.

So why haven’t you heard of them? They first signed with Mercury Nashville Records which produced absolutely no albums or singles whatsoever, so after them, they signed with Monument Records in 2002 and released their self-titled debut album. After releasing a few more albums up until 2012, they’ve brought out 5 absolute killer albums that are almost impossible to dislike.

The Reason Why, Tornado, Pain Killer, Wanderlust and The Breaker have all been released with Capitol Nashville, (and no, that’s no relation to The Hunger Games). Combined, all 5 albums have had a total of 24 singles, including 3 #1’s.

Whether you’re going through a breakup, love your life, need a cry, need a dance, need a road trip or you’re just looking for a new artist to listen to, make it these guys. There’s a selection of songs to please all of your needs and I will hold my hand on my heart and say not a day goes by where I don’t have a sing song to them whether it be in the morning when I’m getting ready for work, in the car on the way home, or when I’m home and have nothing to do.

Out of all of the above albums, I’d have to pick Tornado as a favourite. However I’m also obsessed with Painkiller. I also have a soft spot for Wanderlust, and The Reason Why is just fabulous. So yes, I get that means I’ve just named all of them as my favourites, but they’re all so unique in their own way, you couldn’t possible pick one!

The Breaker hasn’t actually been released yet, but keep your eyes peeled on 24th February 2017 where it’ll be available EVERYWHERE at midnight (which means we get it before America!). Plus, if you pre-order it now, you INSTANTLY receive Better Man and Happy People, and if these songs are anything to go by, I’ll have a new favourite album by the end of the month!

Also, do let me know if you’re planning on seeing Little Big Town in the UK this year. Here are the dates – I’m planning on Bristol!

Above are My Little Big Town Picks. There’s a song for everything in there, literally. Girl Crush is for when you fancy either a good cry, Day Drinking is for them summer road trips when you have the windows down and On Fire Tonight is for when you fancy a boogie in your bedroom in front of the mirror with a hair brush in your hand.

Create your own Little Big Town playlists, or listen to mine, and let me know what you think!

Thank you so much for reading, and PLEASE let me know what your playlists are by tweeting me, message me on facebook or say hello.

Speak to you soon!
